The National Slavery Monument in Oosterpark, Amsterdam.
Erected by the Dutch government in 2002 to commemorate the history of slavery in the Netherlands. A yearly commemoration is held on 1 July, because slavery was abolished in the Netherlands on 1 July 1863.
