On a plantation

This is plantation Zeezicht in Surinam. It is a diorama, made by Gerrit Schouten [1779-1839] from Paramaribo. He was a mustee [Creole]; someone of white [European] as well as black [African] ancestry. His dioramas were commissioned by plantation owners. You are going to investigate what happened on a plantation. You will now be shown a different picture.

I wonder if they are brave enough to show you everything. I think those plantation owners only wanted to look at what they liked.
